On Thursday, March 19, Huella Zero hosted a training session for journalists and media professionals focused on covering environmental crimes. Part of its Media Climate Accelerator Training seminar series, the event was held in partnership with the Association of Venezuelan Journalists Abroad (APEVEX).
The session featured two journalists with deep expertise in the field: Ana Cristina Alvarado, producer and researcher at Mongabay Latam, and Aldo Benítez, reporter and editor at the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project.
The workshop gave participants practical tools to understand, report on, and communicate environmental crimes, helping them tackle real newsroom challenges and better connect with their audiences.
