Since 2014, Sachamama has helped Latinos participate in environmental decision-making, raise their voices, and contribute to building local solutions.
OUR IMPACT MODEL
At Sachamama, every dollar drives tangible action: we train climate leaders, amplify community voices, and mobilize real solutions from and for local communities.
Thanks to our $ vs. Community Action Model, you can see exactly how your support transforms into measurable results:
LEADERS TRAINED
CAMPAIGNS LAUNCHED
LEADERS MOBILIZING OTHERS
You give action and receive impact Every time
Because this isn’t just about donating. It is about being part of a movement rooted in the pride of caring for our communities and building together a more just, healthy, and prosperous future for all
Pride That Becomes Power
Latinos face a disproportionate burden: they breathe more pollution
and live in high-risk areas. But they are also leading the solutions, street
by street, rooftop by rooftop, law by law.
Dian Alarcón, from Florida Rising, supports migrant families navigating extreme events and systemic inequalities. She joined our Climate Hub to train her community and co-develop a course on Organizing 101, equipping others with the skills to mobilize and lead within their own communities.
Omar Cejudo, from SOL-UP in Las Vegas, is bringing clean energy to homes, reducing costs and building a future rooted in energy justice. He joined Sachamama through our Clean Energy campaign, helping to elevate Latino voices and ensure that the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act continue reaching the communities most impacted by the climate crisis.
Claudia Vera, from Nuestra Casa in Washington, empowers Latino communities to prepare for wildfires, fostering resilience, leadership, and climate justice from the ground up. She joined our Climate Hub through the Fire Adapted Communities course, gaining tools to help her community prepare for, respond to, and recover from extreme events like wildfires.
How Our Programs Strengthen and
Protect Communities
These are just three of the thousands of actions pulsing through our

“This partnership with the Extreme Heat Photojournalism Project, ¡Qué Calor! Historias de Nuestros Trabajadores helped amplify the everyday experiences of some of Little Havana’s most vulnerable outdoor workers. Together, we turned a growing health threat into a shared movement, helping to bring awareness, spark dialogue, and restore dignity and pride to those who labor under the sun.”
Islara souto
Executive Director of Healthy Little Havana
“The Climate Hub has been an essential tool for informing and strengthening our team and communities, providing access to clear, practical resources in Spanish to help us grow as environmental leaders.”
CATY PADILLA
Executive Director Nuestra Casa
“Thanks to the Fire Adapted Communities course, I learned how to protect myself, my family, and my community from events as catastrophic as wildfires.”
