At a critical moment for climate action across the country, Sachamama launched Latido Climático, a new educational communication campaign in partnership with Climate Power En Acción and GreenLatinos.
The year-long campaign focuses on Latino communities, aiming to counter climate misinformation, elevate local voices, and build momentum for urgent and equitable climate action.
The campaign combines a digital strategy with on-the-ground activities during key events such as New York Climate Week, the 2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP30), and Earth Week 2026—reaching Latino families wherever they are: online, in their communities, and through trusted media outlets.
Since January 2025, more than 31 environmental protections have been rolled back, threatening hard-won climate progress and putting Latino communities at greater risk as extreme weather events become more frequent, costly, and deadly. At the same time, climate misinformation continues to spread unchecked, eroding trust in climate science.
Through storytelling, coalition-building, and collaboration with trusted messengers, the Latido Climático campaign seeks to reach 2 million Latinos across the United States and mobilize them to engage in climate solutions.
On the campaign’s website, community members are invited to vote for the climate action that best represents them: advocacy initiatives, community resilience development, clean energy investment, or sustainable agriculture—each linked to a unique color. The votes will determine a final collective color symbolizing Latino climate leadership, which will serve as the campaign’s central visual identity across all platforms. Click here and participate!
